Milton Keynes company helps local venues provide Covid secure premises thanks to latest technology

Milton Keynes company, Mechline, is providing reassurance for many local pubs and restaurants as they look to make their outlets covid secure following the lifting of lockdown restrictions. The Brinklow based firm design and manufacture a unit known as HyGenikx, which is best described as an air and surface sanitisation system that is capable of eradicating bacteria and viruses. The technology within HyGenikx is also proven to inactivate viruses, including coronaviruses, eliminate odours and even extend the shelf-life of fresh food by as much as 150% longer.

For hospitality outlets who have suffered during the lockdowns, reopening is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel as a spokesperson at The French Horn Gastro Pub in Steppingly explains:

It’s important to invest in creating covid-secure premises and provide reassurance to our customers so they feel comfortable venturing back into restaurants. By working with Mechline to install HyGenikx units in the restaurants and also the kitchens and restrooms, not only have we been able to provide a covid secure location, but the visible units also provide the reassurance that customers require.”

Joe Decaro of Cowpers Oak in Weston Underwood, Olney is another licensee that has benefited from Mechline’s local expertise:

“The best thing about HyGenikx is that unlike fogging systems that require us to clear the restaurant, HyGenikx sits on the wall and keeps everybody safe, without getting in the way of service or opening times.”

Whilst, Martin Lee from The Plough at Bolnhurst, near Bedford explained:

“We installed the HyGenikx units and for us it brings another level of hygiene and safety into the food service environment. It is a brilliant piece of technology.”

Peter Galliford, Commercial Director of Mechline, is delighted that his company has been able to help local venues start to rebuild:

“The hospitality industry has been one of the worst hit sectors during Coronavirus pandemic, and to be able to play just a small part in helping venues and operators come out the other side is quite humbling. As well as gaining traction locally, HyGenikx has also generated demand nationally and internationally, as operators look for ways in which to protect both their staff and customers. HyGenikx combats airborne viruses and bacteria, stopping their spread and minimising the risks of cross contamination. The system
utilises a combination of the most effective air and surface sterilisation technologies available to produce Superoxide Ions and Plasma Quatro, which are proven to eradicate harmful bacteria, viruses and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).”

One celebrity supporter is Cyrus Todiwala, MBE, star of Saturday Kitchen and proprietor of Café Spice in London:

“HyGenikx has proven what it can do for us – keeping the air and surfaces clean, pure and fresh, controlling odours and providing extra reassurance for customers that we are leaving nothing to chance to make our restaurant Covid-secure so they can relax and enjoy their meal. HyGenikx is the ideal complement to manual cleaning. It helps to protect customers and staff and provides additional reassurance so our industry can move forward with confidence and return to some kind of normal.”
