The Next Generation Committee Members are be responsible for managing the performance of the Chamber’s activities and representing the interests of the members. As ambassadors they promote the Chamber’s aims and objectives as appropriate across the business community.
Connor Slasberg (President)
Customer Development Manager, dbfb
I’m a 22 year old from Northampton. A Customer Development Manager for dbfb, I am extremely passionate about my job and love the interaction that comes with sales and networking. I’m excited to be a part of the Next Generation committee as I believe in the potential of the chamber to grow and continue helping all members develop in the business environment, as well as making contacts for now and the future.
In my spare time, I love football. I’m a keen follower of Liverpool and play for my local side, Braunston. I also enjoy music, often playing guitar or ukulele at local open mic night.
Jade Day (Vice President)
Event Sales Manager, Whittlebury Hall.
Jade has been in her role in Event Sales since November 2017. Jade’s key responsibilities are to manage agency relationships within the corporate sector, all Christmas and Festive events as well as all new initiatives for our outdoor land events. Prior to this Jades background has included sales for a tile company and working overseas as a holiday representative. She Is keen to progress in her career with Whittlebury Hall and is keen to learn as much as she can to help her continue to progress within the business.
In her spare time jades likes to take on new challenges some of which have been sky diving and abseiling. She is also a keen traveller and is trying to visit as many counties as possible.
Business Development Manager - Silverstone Circuits Limited
Shakeela has recently joined Silverstone Circuits Ltd, home to the F1 Rolex British Grand Prix, as its Business Development Manager, where she strengthens existing and nurtures prospective client relationships to drive new business into the 600acre site. The iconic venue, Silverstone Wing can cater for all kinds of events, such as conferences, sophisticated banqueting, intimate meetings and large exhibitions of up to 3,000 delegates.
Shakeela began her career as a Sales Administrator in 2014 as part of an apprenticeship. It was quickly recognised that she has a natural ability to build rapport with clients, leading to her promotion to a Junior Sales Executive just four months into her apprenticeship. She is passionate about building trusting, transparent relationships which has subsequently seen her excel and progress her career at speed.
In her spare time Shakeela attends regular aerial hoop classes and goes horse riding. She’s also completed charity work for both Guide Dogs UK and the Memusi foundation.

Daisy is a qualified solicitor at EMW Law LLP specialising in corporate work with particular focus on transactional work including acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructuring and the food and drink sector.

Working on residential, commercial and industrial projects from beginning to end, providing feasibility studies to understand a developments potential, planning services to get the necessary approvals, technical drawings of the information required to get them built efficiently to the required regulations and onsite services to check the developments are built on time and to budget.
I’m responsible for delivering our business development strategy, involving, strategising, planning, delivery, finance, marketing, sales and the systems and processes.
I enjoy building relationships with individuals and organisations across the construction industry, helping to generate and deliver new opportunities.
Senior Financial Accountant, Topps Tiles plc
Nancy Jacques is a senior financial accountant at Topps Tiles plc. She trained with Grant Thornton and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2017.
Nancy Jacques is originally from Bromley but moved to Leicester for university in 2006 where she studied English for four years including a year abroad in Leipzig, Germany. She is married and is a keen runner currently training for the Leicester marathon.
Associate, Wilson Browne Solicitors.
Emma trained at Wilson Browne and has been at the firm for 5 years. She specialises in Commercial Property and land acquisition development deals. She is a member of the Social Housing Law Association and has experience of advising Housing Association clients on development land acquisitions, conditional contracts, section agreements and shared ownership and right to buy sales. Emma is proud to act for local businesses and individuals and has a broad range of experience in other commercial property matters including advice on lease and licences for both landlord and tenant and refinancing matters. Emma lives in Northamptonshire and in her spare time enjoys going to the gym and climbing. She is looking forward to working with other committee members on the inaugural Next Generation Committee.
