TEAM Energy’s Head of Consultancy, Timothy Holman, reflects on the UK Government’s creation of the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero.

The devolution of the responsibility for net zero from BEIS at this critical time is welcome news and puts back a much needed focus after its predecessor the Department for Energy and Climate Change was abolished by Theresa May in 2016. Tim hopes that this move from the Government demonstrates the UK’s commitment to the energy transition and acceleration of policies to deliver net zero.
