Winners of the This is Us Awards have been announced
After a spectacular awards ceremony, bringing together the leaders and changemakers of the business world to celebrate their achievements and initiatives for D & I, the winners of the prestigious This is Us Awards have finally been revealed.
The awards, which were hosted by Events Together, celebrated businesses that are committed to championing diversity and inclusion within their industry sector. The ceremony highlighted the work of effective D & I initiatives of businesses across all UK regions and celebrated companies dedicated to championing workplace equality.
The ceremony was hosted on 12th January 2023 at Kettering Conference and Exhibition Centre. Finalists competed in 12 award categories and had some noteworthy sponsorships including VTCT,` Diversity Q, North Northamptonshire Council, MKEBC, Change The Balance and Compass Group UK & Ireland.
After a long-anticipated wait, the winners of the This is Us Awards can finally be announced. The champions are:

Employee Resource Group: Idrees Mohammed from Milton Keynes University Hospital
Lifetime Achievement Award: Sabrina Shadie from D’Rose Consultancy
Organisational Champion: Nav Ahmed from Arden University
Tomorrow’s Leader: Aaliyah Aries from Ebony Lashes Crafts
Training and Development: Katie Neeves from Cool2BTrans
Women’s Empowerment: Samantha Poole from Incubation Nation CIC
Apprenticeship Award: Esthetique Dental Care
This is Us Overall Champion Award: Nav Ahmed from Arden University
This is Us Heartfelt Award: Jacqui Gavin
Meena Chander, Founder of Events Together and Host of This Is Us, said:

The Panellists were seriously impressed with the quality of the entries, remarking them as inspirational, outstanding, and phenomenal.
The night was a fantastic celebration of D&I, and it was great to see new faces and learn and share in the experiences, initiatives and leadership of businesses and people that are actioning real change.
