TEAM Energy announced board transition as employee ownership thrives

Energy and Net Zero consultancy, TEAM Energy, is marking an important milestone as two of its founding directors, CEO Simon Miles, and Solution Delivery Director Jim Inglis, step down from the Board following decades of dedicated service.

The leadership, vision and long-term commitment of Simon and Jim have played a pivotal role in shaping TEAM’s growth and success, establishing a strong foundation that the business continues to build on today.

As TEAM looks ahead, it is pleased to announce the appointment of three long serving colleagues to its Board. Collectively bringing more than 40 years of experience within the organisation, these appointments represent both an exciting step forward and a continuation of the company’s shared expertise, values and employee-owned ethos.

Meet TEAM’s new Board members

Tom Anderton, Commercial Director
Tom brings over ten years of experience across carbon, sustainability, energy management and energy supply. A commercially minded and collaborative leader, he focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and aligning commercial objectives with effective delivery. He maintains a strong emphasis on risk management, compliance and service quality. With a clear passion for balancing sustainable growth and employee engagement within an employee-owned structure, Tom works closely with stakeholders to ensure customers consistently receive excellent value.

Paul Dowling, Customer Success Director
Paul offers more than 15 years of experience in delivering strategic value and building long-term partnerships across the energy sector. With in-depth knowledge of the I&C market, he brings valuable operational and commercial insight from roles spanning energy supply, customer service leadership and large-scale delivery. Paul plays a central role in shaping customer success strategies, ensuring customer priorities remain at the core of TEAM’s approach to service excellence.

Edward Kilby, IT Director
Edward is an experienced technology leader with over 20 years in the energy sector, specialising in aligning IT strategy with business objectives. As IT Director, he oversees enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, information security and agile delivery. He has successfully supported organisations through major industry developments, including Faster Switching and Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS).

The newly appointed directors will work alongside Service Delivery Director Graham Paul, who leads TEAM’s infrastructure and oversees system administration and customer support, while also contributing across pre-sales, partnerships and marketing functions.
