Northamptonshire & Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce are looking to its membership to supply a need for professional photography services over the course of a two-year period.

Commencing in May 2022, the Chamber has a requisite for the following photography activities over the course of the next two years:

– inbusiness magazine

The Chamber publishes a bi-monthly business magazine called inbusiness, which goes out to over 5,000 business subscribers in and around Northamptonshire & Milton Keynes in both printed and digital editions. Photos, on the whole, are supplied by contributors, but we do require professional photographs taken of our Talking Business subject. This is the main interview and cover star. The photos from this one shoot will be used on the front cover, contents page and a double page interview spread towards the centre of the magazine.

As the magazine is printed bi-monthly, we will require 12 shoots to be taken at a member’s place of business over the course of each year. As a rough guide, we would be looking for these photos to be taken in the middle of the following months (but this can be agreed between the photographer and Editor on an issue by issue basis): December, February, April, June, August and October.

– Exhibitions

The Chamber holds four Business Exhibitions every year. These fall in March, June September and November (although this is subject to change). We would be looking for a photographer to arrive on the day and take photos of the event and some of the Chamber team at their stand. These photos will then be used across Chamber communications, such as inbusiness, on email campaigns, with press releases and on our social media profile pages.

– Ad hoc events

For the purposes of this tender agreement, the Chamber would like to put in place that it will also have photographs taken at six additional events of its choice during the course of each year. In addition to this the Chamber will require team photographs to be used on their website.

Northamptonshire Chamber would like to offer the successful photographer/studio, who must be a fully paid-up member of Northamptonshire or Milton Keynes Chamber for the duration of this two-year deal, an additional complimentary membership into its Gold Chamber Partners (Value £5,500+ VAT). The Chamber Business Partners are an exclusive group of influential companies from across the region.

Our Business Partners bring together large and well-established businesses who receive exclusive benefits on top of the standard benefits of Chamber membership.

By having a free membership into this group, the successful photographer will benefit from their logo being used across Chamber communications such as letterheads, eshots and website homepage; free passes to some Chamber events; and the opportunity to network with some of the most influential companies in the county and local MPs.

As well as free Gold Chamber Partners membership, the photographer/provider of this service will get a credit in the inbusiness magazine and the chance to meet and photograph influential figures (MDs/Directors/CEOs etc) from businesses all over the county, which could lead to further paid for work. The Chamber will also add something to the inbusiness page on the Chamber website about the photographer, carrying a link to their own website.

We will be looking for the first Inbusiness shoot to take place in May 2022. If you would like to submit a tender proposal, please submit the following details to our Membership Manager Jenny Copeland by Monday 14 March 2022.

– A brief company outline – e.g. experience, number of photographers at the company, whether photography is your main business or an add on service, details of editing/ post production processes

– Examples of your work – try to show a variety of photographic styles, in particular corporate portraits, reportage/action shots and scenery shots.

– Flexibility/resources – how much notice do you require for a shoot, what is your turnaround time on images (when could we expect to receive them following a shoot), how would you get the images to us (e.g online portal, CD, Zip file on email)

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a zoom interview week commencing Monday 21^st March 2022. A decision will be made by the end of that week.
