We’re delighted to announce that IKEA are now a Milton Keynes Chamber Gold Partner!

Being a Gold Business Partner gives IKEA guaranteed editorial in the Chamber’s inbusiness magazine, website coverage, event sponsorship opportunities and five complimentary Next Generation Chamber memberships.

IKEA retailing has almost 80 years of history. IKEA UK opened its first store in Warrington in 1987 and they have since grown to employ nearly 12,000 co-workers with 20 full sized stores, one city store, one Order and Collection Point and two Plan and Order Points. This will continue to grow, as they look to open more stores in the future. IKEA Milton Keynes was opened on 26th December 2005. With over 450 co-workers they strive to make a better everyday life for the many people.

David M, Milton Keynes Market Manager said: “‘On behalf of the whole team at IKEA Milton Keynes, I am delighted to be starting this partnership with the MK Chamber of Commerce. We are looking forward to working together to leverage our ability to be a good neighbour for our customers, other businesses in the area and the people of MK. There is so much potential here not only today but looking into the future as well. A partnership such as this will help us to learn more about life in MK by allowing us to have a dialogue with other business leaders who we wouldn’t ordinarily talk to in our day-to-day work. I am sure this will give us new and unexpected ways of meeting the challenges in our business and being better tomorrow than we are today.’

Milton Keynes Chamber’s Group Commercial Director, Sunny Singh said: “Our valued Chamber Business Partners are influential companies from across the region and we are delighted to welcome Ikea into this exclusive group.

“We believe that our business community is Stronger Together, and these partnerships offer the chance for greater opportunities and more collaborative working.

“We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Ikea.”
