Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce Members Invited to Help Shape Future Policy

Members of the Milton Keynes of Commerce are being urged to share their views to help influence future government policy on planning and infrastructure.

As many will be aware, the Planning and Infrastructure Bill was introduced to the House of Commons on 11th March 2025, and it is now undergoing detailed scrutiny by the Public Bill Committee. As part of this process, the Committee is inviting written evidence from interested parties across the UK to inform the debate and shape the future of planning and infrastructure policy.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is preparing to submit a written response to this important legislation and is seeking feedback from Chamber members nationwide to ensure the views of the business community are well represented.

Head of Policy at the Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce Simon Cox said “We are therefore encouraging Milton Keynes Chamber members to review the Bill and provide any thoughts, concerns, or recommendations they may have.”

“This is a valuable opportunity for local businesses to make their voices heard on issues that could impact development, investment, and economic growth in the region.”

The full details of the Bill and the call for evidence can be found here: https://www.parliament.uk/business/news/2025/march/planning-and-infrastructure-bill-call-for-evidence

If you would like to contribute to the BCC’s submission, please send your input to policy@chambermk.co.uk by Thursday 17th April.

Together, we can help shape policy that supports business, drives growth, and builds strong infrastructure for the future.
