Celebrating World Youth Skills Day: YMCA Milton Keynes partners with Yusen Logistics to create employment opportunities
On World Youth Skills Day, we’re proud to announce our partnership with Yusen Logistics, dedicated to creating real employment opportunities for our residents.
This collaboration is all about giving young people the chance to build essential skills for the future—offering access to real job roles and ongoing career support. By working together, we’re helping our residents gain confidence, overcome barriers to employment, and take meaningful steps towards independence.
Recently, the Land Freight Export Customs team from Yusen Logistics hosted a jobs fair at YMCA Milton Keynes to meet our residents and share insights about potential roles. The feedback we received was incredibly encouraging:
“We were impressed by the welcoming staff, environment, organisation and enthusiasm of both your team and the residents we met. It is inspiring to see the positive impact your team is making to the residents, community and the commitment shown from speaking with your staff in supporting the residents on their journey into employment. We had an opportunity to share information about current roles, answer questions and speak with those residents who showed genuine interest and potential.”
World Youth Skills Day is about recognising the power of skills development in shaping brighter futures. Our partnership with Yusen Logistics is a perfect example of how businesses can make a lasting difference—opening doors for young people and strengthening our community.
We welcome other organisations who are interested in making a positive impact to get in touch and explore how they can support our residents through similar initiatives.
