The Cause

Al’s Pals is a cancer support charity that supports cancer patients and their families.

We provide emotional support to cancer patients and their families during this difficult time. Our support is vital and we are the only emotional support service offered to patients and families in their own home.

Al’s Pals was founded in 2000 after Suzanne brown lost her own dad Alan to cancer. When Alan and his family were going through this, they felt that there was not enough support offered and Alan would have really appreciated some emotional support during this time. Alan didn’t want to offload to his family and wanted his family time to be happy times.

Just before Alan lost his life to cancer he asked Suzanne to make this happen…and in 2000 Al’s Pals was born.

2 weeks after the charity launched the country went into lockdown which made Al’s Pals services a lot more restricted than what it could have been, however in 2021 when our home support service launched our services have grown from strength to strength.

Al’s Pals now has nearly 30 volunteers, 6 Trustees and an in house Phycologist.

Our monies raised here will be going towards our wonderful home support service, it will enable us to manage and grow the services and reach more patients.

Since 2021 we have supported over 100 patients at home and there are so many more that we want to reach.

We have been so lucky to have been donated this amazing tour, for 2 people, of the Aston Martin F1 Team® Technology Campus in Silverstone

The factory is the most sustainable campus F1 has ever seen. The fabric of the building has been designed to operate smarter, reducing energy usage wastage wherever possible.
