Attend the Green Business Network, 11th September 2024
On Wednesday 11 September the Green Business Network at Cranfield University will be hosting their latest event, Embracing sustainability to create a competitive edge for the business and the planet.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from people in industry, who are paving the way to a more sustainable future, and network with like-minded individuals, passionate about doing their bit to help our planet. You’ll also be able to hear from our fantastic keynote speaker, Shelley Lawson, co-founder of the global children’s bicycle brand Frog Bikes, winning both a Queen’s Award in 2018 and a King’s Award in 2023 for exporting. In recent years, one of Shelley’s primary goals has been embedding sustainability into the culture of her business. She also consults to many other businesses who wish to be more sustainable, and devotes a lot of her time to environmental education.
Additionally, we are also thrilled to have Prof Aris Matopoulos with us, an expert in supply chain management. Prof Matopoulos has a keen interest in the implementation of the concepts of “Design for Supply Chain/Logistics” and in the impact, both economic and environmental. With extensive experience across various industry sectors, he will share actionable insights on implementing green business practices and reducing your business’s carbon footprint.
Participants will also have the opportunity to experience carbon calculation software, TrackZero, and a practical focused workshop.
Whilst the full price for the event is £75, businesses who have not attended a Green Business Network event in 2024 (i.e. Green Business Network relaunch or VentureDay) are eligible for a free ticket.
