From Student to Inspirational Teacher!

We are excited to share the inspiring journey of Kaddijatou Bah, a passionate educator at Starlight School. Since joining in 2018, Kaddijatou has played a pivotal role in shaping the futures. of her students. With support from Starlight School and The Oasis Project, she pursued further education and proudly graduated as a qualified teacher in 2023. Today, Kaddijatou leads our Primary Five students with unwavering passion and dedication, motivating both her students and colleagues. Her story is a powerful reminder of the transformative impact education can have, and the lasting influence of committed teachers on their communities.

New Toilet Block Project – Update

We’re thrilled to share the progress on our latest initiative—the new toilet block! What started as a plan just a few months ago has quickly taken shape, and we now have four walls standing strong. With installation and decoration processes underway, this vital project is coming to life. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and to the hardworking Bakau team for making this possible!

Support Starlight School’s New Chapter

In our previous letter, we shared the exciting news about securing new premises and relocating Starlight School to a more suitable site. However, we still need to pay off the remaining balance to secure full ownership of the land. To achieve this, we’ve started organising fundraising events and are working closely with teachers, the community, and the PTA to gather donations and support.
