Description: Join us to informally network with like-minded business individuals over light refreshments. At this event, you will hear from Northampton’s Members of Parliament, Lucy Rigby MP for Northampton North and Mike Reader MP for Northampton South about various matters around Northampton, providing updates on what is going on and also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions impacting local businesses. Lucy Rigby – Member of Parliament for Northampton North
Lucy was elected as the Labour MP for Northampton North in July 2024.  She was appointed as Solicitor General in December 2024. Prior to her appointment, Lucy served as a PPS to the Ministry of Justice, and a member of the Treasury Select Committee. 
Until the general election, Lucy was a partner in a city law firm specialising in competition law. She has previously worked for the Office of Fair Trading, Which? and Slaughter and May. Lucy has acted on a number of leading antitrust cases, including in digital and technology markets, and she is recognised in legal directories as an expert in her field.’

Mike Reader – Member of Parliament for Northampton South.
As newly elected MP, joining the House in July 2024, Mike draws on nearly 20 years’ experience working in industry before being elected. Prior to election, Mike was a senior leader at Mace, the global consultancy and construction firm. He specialised in major and giga programmes, with a portfolio of project experience which includes work in the US, Canada, Peru, Europe, the Middle East, and South and South East Asia. Mike is currently the chair of the International Trade, Food and Drink and Infrastructure All Party Parliamentary Groups, and is a representative of UK Parliament on the Council of Europe.  He is also a member of the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee.
