TEAM has launched a new MHHS MPAN Calculator to support organisations in navigating the MHHS transition with greater clarity and confidence.

The UK energy sector reached a pivotal milestone with the official rollout of Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS). Spearheaded by Ofgem, this transformative reform is changing how electricity usage is recorded and settled nationwide.

MHHS replaces outdated estimation methods with half-hourly data across all electricity meters, paving the way for more precise settlement and smarter energy management. For organisations, this shift brings enhanced transparency, better forecasting, and opportunities to adopt dynamic tariffs and flexible consumption strategies. However, it also introduces complexity, particularly around updates to the MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number) format.

To help simplify this transition, TEAM Energy has developed the MHHS MPAN Calculator. By entering a few essential details, users can instantly preview how their MPAN structure will look following the MHHS migration of their supply point.

The migration to the new MPAN format will be phased over the next 18 months:

Key Milestones:
• MHHS Go-Live – 22 September 2025
• Migration Starts – October 2025
• Phased Rollout – 2025–2027
• Migration Complete – May 2027

Following the September go-live, a select group of suppliers who have completed integration testing will begin transitioning customers from October 2025. The phased rollout will continue until May 2027, by which time all MPANs are expected to be fully compliant.
